Casino



Casino Runner


Knowledge of casino games and gaming rules and operation. Candidate must have excellent communication skills. This is a part-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains integrity of all games.
  • Assists with dealer and floorpersons in starting, combining and breaking games in designated section.
  • Handles chips and cash transactions.
  • Delivers decks of cards to and from mucking stations to tables.
  • Runs players markers and checks for Floorperson through cashier.
  • Notifies floor personnel of any unusual activity.
  • Assists with keeping section clean and orderly.
  • Works with Dealers and Floorperson to provide the excellent customer service.
  • Relieves Card Desk Attendant for breaks.
  • Complies with requirements of Currency Transaction Report.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Casino gaming related experience preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling.

Poker Floorperson


Minimum of one year of casino gaming operation experience. This is a full-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains integrity of all games.
  • Ensures that games are running smoothly.
  • Ensures that all collections and jackpot procedures are properly applied to all players.
  • Assists with and verifies all jackpots for accuracy.
  • Maintains communication with Floorpersons in other sections when starting or breaking games.
  • Oversees gaming disputes and decisions.
  • Complies with Commerce Casino's Currency Transaction Reporting policy and procedures.
  • Notifies Big Room Senior Floorperson, California Section Senior Floorperson or Shift Manager of any unusual activity.
  • Responsible for keeping assigned section safe and orderly.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in casino gaming operations, preferably in the Poker Section.
  • Understanding of Federal and State Gaming Laws.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Food and Beverage



Banquet Houseperson


Minimum of three years of experience in hotel banquets. This is a part-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists with banquet functions, setting up tables and chairs according to room required lay outs as requests.
  • Provides pitcher with fresh water, coffee, etc. when needed.
  • Responsible for removing all tables, chairs and small equipment at the end of the function.
  • Makes a report of all equipment removed, its condition and its disposition.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in hotel banquets.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Cook


Minimum of two years of experience in a restaurant/hotel kitchen or equivalent. This is a full-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for preparing a variety of food items in a timely and appealing manner.
  • Maintains a safe working environment.
  • Maintains a clean and well stocked area.
  • Prepares all items on the menu as well as the daily specials.
  • Assists with other as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous Cook experience.
  • Familiarity with preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner items.
  • Must have a Food Handler Card/ServSafe Certification.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

Cooks Helper


Minimum of two years of experience in a Restaurant/hotel kitchen or equivalent. This is a full-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists cooks with hot & cold food preparation in all kitchens.
  • Stocks service areas & kitchen.
  • Ensures that all items served from the kitchen are on Micros tickets.
  • Ensures proper documentation of all items transferred between kitchens.
  • Prepares plates as needed per recipe or direction from supervisor.
  • Cleans and washes all utensils, preparation equipment, cutting boards, counter, and any other equipment.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a restaurant/hotel kitchen or equivalent.
  • Must be able to speak, read & understand English.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Continental food and basic cooking.

Steward


This is a full-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, service ware, preparation equipment, utensils, and disposal waste.
  • Ability to operate an automatic dishwasher.
  • Assists cooks as needed.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous work experience preferred.
  • Must have a Food Handler Card/ServSafe Certification.
  • Must be able to speak, read & understand English.

Sushi Cook


Sushi Cook with a minimum of 2 years of experience preparing sushi in a fine dining environment. Hotel or casino experience preferred; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts to include weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs the proper preparation of raw and cooked sushi items as dictated by menu.
  • Knowledge on how to make the best use of seasonal seafood and vegetables.
  • Ability to read, translate and execute recipes.
  • Must follow safety procedures for the use of all cooking or food preparation and maintains safety and health department standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of basic kitchen equipment.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of advanced cooking techniques.
  • Ability to read, translate and execute recipes.
  • Advanced knowledge of basic kitchen equipment.
  • Possess a full knife set and have advanced knife skills to cut, dice, mince and slice.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.

Support



Cage Cashier


Minimum of two years of cash handling experience. This is a full-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Records all credit transactions on the computer.
  • Assists in the training of new cage employees when needed.
  • Performs basic accounting and counting skills.
  • Performs clerical functions.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Count Team Member


Minimum of 6 months of cash handling experience. This is a full-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Counts all chips in each set of collection boxes.
  • Records accurate count of each box onto count sheets and reconciles amount with another count team member.
  • Sells chips to Chip Window.
  • Performs count in a timely manner according to schedule.
  • Assists casino personnel with various collection boxes.
  • Informs count room supervisor of any inaccuracies or problems.
  • Rolls coins from the cigarette machines.
  • Able to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds at various times throughout the shift, up to 170 times per shift, rotating weeks.
  • Assists other count team members in moving the box cart with a maximum four hundred (400) pounds, up to eight times per week.
  • Counts and verifies all bundled and loose cash transactions to and from the cashier.
  • Responsible for the washing of all racks and chips.
  • Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Count Room Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Work Experience Required: 6 months of cash handling experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
  • Other Requirements: Must have excellent math skills, legible handwriting, hand dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Engineer Supervisor


Responsible for the operation and maintenance of casino premises, structure, equipment, and other systems designated under the Engineering Department Supervises the Engineering staff. Conducts a walk through and inspects the entire Casino on a daily basis.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience and certified in engineering.
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be certified in Engineering.

Human Resources Coordinator


Human Resources Coordinator with a minimum of two years of experience working in a Human Resources generalist function, preferably in the areas of employee benefits and employee relations. Candidate must be flexible to work graveyard and weekend shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with employee leave of absence, ADA, FMLA, etc.
  • Assist with incident investigations as directed.
  • Provides counseling and assistance to employees and management in employee or management issues guided by the company's employee relations policy and labor law regulations.
  • Assists and supplies employees with information regarding all Benefit Programs, i.e., vacations, holidays, sick leave, medical/dental coverage, life insurance, retirement/savings, credit union, etc.; benefits administration support as assigned.
  • Fulfills HRIS reporting needs as needed.
  • Responsible for organizing, ordering and inventory of office supplies.
  • Prepares and coordinates check requests for the Human Resources department.
  • Responsible for the coordination of employee performance reviews, anniversary gift card programs, and other company programs.
  • Coordinates the approvals and processing of all HRIS entries.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of benefits, employee relations, employee leave of absence and general HR functions.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to work with and manage data integrity of HR systems.

Payroll Administrator


Minimum of 2 to 4 years of payroll or related experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares payroll information needed for bi-weekly payroll processing and maintaining payroll records; audits payroll information for accuracy.
  • Assists with time and attendance systems; answers questions and makes corrections when necessary.
  • Responsible for the posting of payroll data and preparation of routine reports.
  • Assists with the calculation and processing of on demand checks, reviews, edits and makes corrections and adjustments as needed.
  • Prepares wage statements, EDD audit forms, and Disability forms.
  • Completes IRS levy documentation and garnishments of employees' wages.
  • Assists with Tip Program Agreements and tip rate changes.
  • Runs and distributes bi-weekly time sheets; assists with the distribution of paychecks.
  • Completes and allocates non-refundable deductions for the organization.
  • Inputs new hire employee information into the payroll systems.
  • Receives and distributes interdepartmental mail.
  • Calculates retro pay, maintains direct deposits; processes Terminations, payments of vacation and sick requests.
  • Responsible for employment verifications.
  • Audits/assures that the data in payroll related systems is accurate and complete.
  • Responsible for the assurance that all applicable payroll laws are complied with, and payroll taxes are paid on a timely basis in the absence of the Payroll Manager.
  • Assists Payroll Practitioners with the maintenance of data within the payroll and timekeeping system on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepares and reviews 401K plan deductions and 401K loan repayments; assures the proper payment and informational reporting in the 401K plan administrator.
  • Performs other miscellaneous office duties such as; filing, typing, shredding, ordering office supplies, etc.
  • Participates in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned based on needs of the Payroll department.
  • Position responsibilities may include any or all of the listed duties depending on the needs of the Payroll department.

Qualifications
  • Requires 2 to 4 years of payroll or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 10 key by touch. Typing 35 wpm.

Purchasing Clerk


Minimum 1 year Accounts Payable experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • 1.Separate purchase orders
  • 2.Send out dept. copies of purchase orders
  • 3.Sort incoming mail and distribute
  • 4.Order Purchasing Dept. Supplies
  • 5.Keep Purchasing conference room stocked
  • 6.Follow up on check requests from accounting
  • 7.Take paperwork to Corporate for signatures
  • 8.Organize W-9 & Certification of Liability binder/paperwork
  • 9.Organize catalogs
  • 10.Order Columbia Forms for departments
  • 11.Bring vendors up to Purchasing for meetings
  • 12.Attend safety meeting
  • 13.Follow up with new vendor packages
  • 14.Check incoming invoices, get approval for payment.
  • 15.Go to Costco to buy the gift cards for employee anniversary, etc.
  • 16.Answer incoming phone calls for department
  • 17.Be the gate keeper for: Matching P.O.'s to invoices, receiving documents, accuracy, initial good to pay and process.
  • If information doesn't match to pay, work with Purchasers to get correct pricing adjusted in system to match info.

Qualifications
  • Self-starter with attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and multiple tasks.
  • Minimum 1 year Accounts Payable experience.
  • Ability to process a high volume in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Work, Outlook and 10-key by touch.
  • Good organization and communications skills, both verbal and written.

Shuttle/Van Driver


Minimum of one year of transportation/driver experience. This is a full-time position; candidate must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transports customers/employees to and from their car within company premise, the airport, train station, residence, etc.
  • Provides quality service to customers and employees.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of vehicles i.e. oil, fluids, gas, etc.
  • Ensures limousines are stocked with appropriate supplies i.e. liquor, food, glasses, etc.
  • Immediately notifies Supervisor if driver's license becomes suspended or revoked.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a driver.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read & understand English.
  • Must have general knowledge of all airports and hotels.
  • Must have knowledge of GPS functions and use.
  • Must have valid California Driver's License and proof of a clean DMV printout.
