On Closer Look…
The “California Games” at Commerce Casino may look familiar to anyone used to playing traditional Blackjack or Baccarat in Las Vegas, but they are different.

You Don’t Play Against the House
The “California Games” at Commerce Casino are so-named because they have been slightly altered to conform to California state law. In the state of California, card players do not play against the house—they only play each other. Before the cards are dealt in a “California Section Game”, a player at the table will be designated as the Dealer/Banker for that hand. You have the option of being the Dealer/Banker for two hands, than the Dealer/Banker option will be passed on clockwise around the table. You may pass at being the Dealer/Banker at anytime.

Instruction
Because these games are not universally known, newcomers are cautioned to watch the play for several hands before stepping in, or ask for some instruction from the Player Relations staff.
